To check your account balance through WhatsApp, your bank account number must be linked in the payment method.
You don’t need to open ATM, Internet Banking or Mobile Banking app to know your bank account balance. If you use WhatsApp, you can use the instant messaging service app for financial transactions like sending money and checking your bank account balance. WhatsApp Payments uses UPI to enable bank-to-bank money transactions. WhatsApp uses the phone number associated with your account to check your bank account details. To check your account balance through WhatsApp, your bank account number must be linked in the payment method. There are two ways to check account balance – one through setting and the other by sending money.
Check the balance like this through the setting option- First of all open WhatsApp on your mobile. If you are using an Android device, tap on ‘More Options’. If you are using iPhone then go to Settings. Click on Payment. Under Payment method click on your bank account. Check your account balance by tapping on View account balance. Enter your UPI PIN and check your balance.
How to check account balance while sending money? Follow these steps to check your account balance while transferring money to another account. From the payment notification screen, tap your preferred payment option. Click on ‘View account balance’. If you have multiple bank accounts linked to your WhatsApp account, select the respective bank account. Enter your UPI PIN.
