Sindhu suffered a left ankle injury during the Commonwealth Games 2022 in August, from which she has not fully recovered yet. Sindhu’s father told that he is hoping to return from January 2023.

PV Sindhu, who won the World Tour Finals title in 2018, has been running out of court for the last three months. She suffered an injury during the quarter-finals of the women’s singles at the Commonwealth Games. However, she continued to play despite this and struggled with pain till the final, where she won the gold medal. However, it was only after this that he decided to take rest to recover from the injury. Due to this she could not take part in the World Championships as well.

Sindhu not fully fit

The BWF World Tour Finals will be held in Guangzhou, China from December 14. Regarding her exit from this tournament, father PV Ramanna said that she is trying to be fully fit for the new year. Ramanna told PTI, his doctor has asked him to rest for a few more days so that he is fully fit before the new session. He considered all aspects. There are many restrictions in Guangzhou and it took this decision keeping in mind the new season.

recently started practice

Ramanna told that Sindhu will try to make a comeback from January next year and she has written a letter to the Badminton Association of India about her withdrawal from this tournament. Sindhu’s father said, she started practicing two weeks ago and by January she will be fully fit. Keeping all these things in mind, he sent a letter to the Badminton Association of India and informed about his decision.
