Truke Buds Liberty Review: In today’s world, wireless earbuds have become a must-have accessory for music lovers and casual listeners alike. However, one common issue many face is discomfort after prolonged use. Thankfully, Truke’s newly launched Open-Ear Wireless Stereo (OWS) earbuds are designed to minimize discomfort, allowing users to wear them for hours without experiencing pain. Having tested the Truke Buds Liberty OWS for several days, I’m excited to share my insights in this review.
Unboxing Truke Buds Liberty
The packaging of the Truke Buds Liberty is quite impressive. Inside the box, you’ll find a sleek charging case that holds both earbuds. The set comes equipped with a USB Type-C charging cable, a warranty card, and a user manual to guide you on how to use the earbuds effectively.
Design of Truke Buds Liberty
The design of the Truke Buds Liberty charging case is stylish though slightly larger than some might prefer. It requires two hands to open, with a glossy finish on the top and a matte finish on the bottom, coupled with a silver trim running around the opening. The contrasting colors inside the case give it a modern appeal, while the magnets hold the earbuds securely in place.
Unlike traditional earbuds that fit inside the ear canal, the Truke Buds Liberty rest outside the ears, featuring soft silicone tips that ensure comfort without causing pain even after extended use.
Controls and Usability
Controlling the Truke Buds Liberty is straightforward. Each earbud features a touch panel that is larger than average, providing a designated area for controls, which is illuminated by a light indicating the earbuds’ status. You can control music playback with single and double taps, and the earbuds also support activating voice assistants like Google or Siri with a triple tap on the right bud. Additionally, triple-tapping the left bud activates a gaming mode, enhancing the listening experience during gaming sessions.
Sound Quality
The Truke Buds Liberty OWS earbuds prioritize sound quality through their design. They use 16mm Beryllium drivers, offering crisp and rich audio. With support for SBC and AAC codecs, Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC), Bluetooth 5.4, and a low latency mode, these earbuds deliver superior sound quality often found in higher-priced products, all for under ₹2000. The bass response is well-tuned, and sound leakage is minimal, making them suitable for calls and music alike.
Battery Performance
Equipped with a 500mAh battery in the charging case and a 50mAh battery per earbud, the Truke Buds Liberty promises an impressive battery life. Users can enjoy up to 10 hours of playback on a single charge, while the case extends this to an impressive 50 hours of total playtime. After using these earbuds for 6-8 hours daily, I found that there was still a comfortable amount of battery life remaining. The USB Type-C charging option allows for efficient recharging, fully charging in just two hours.
Should You Buy Truke Buds Liberty?
With their attractive design, comfortable fit, and remarkable sound quality, Truke Buds Liberty OWS earbuds prove to be an excellent choice for anyone who frequently uses earbuds for prolonged periods. Although the lack of dedicated app support is a downside, the overall performance, especially for the price of ₹1999, makes them a value-packed option. Overall, I would rate the Truke Buds Liberty OWS earbuds 4 out of 5 stars.
