The Japanese carmaker, which recently launched the 2022 Glanza premium hatchback in India, has announced a price hike of up to 4 percent across all models from April 1. Toyota issued a statement on Saturday saying that due to increase in input cost, the latest price hike is necessary. Apart from the Glanza, the Japanese carmaker sells six models in the Indian markets including Fortuner, Innova Crysta, Camry, Vellfire and Urban Cruiser.

Toyota has become the latest carmaker to join the list of hikers in the prices of its vehicles. BMW India on Friday announced a hike in prices of its full product range by up to 3.5 per cent from next month. Other luxury carmakers like Audi and Mercedes-Benz are also planning to hike prices from April 1.
