Mere several hours before the 2021 Tokyo Olympics are established to commence, opening ceremony creative director Kentaro Kobayashi has been fired. The transfer came Thursday just after video clip surfaced of him producing a Holocaust joke in a 1998 comedy act, TMZ reports.

In the clip, Kobayashi reportedly mentions the Holocaust and claims, “Let’s engage in the genocide of Jews.”

When the footage was made recognised to the Olympic arranging committee in Tokyo, president Seiko Hashimoto and his fellow officers terminated Kobayashi’s part inside the event.
