A lot of buyers these days 3-row SUV (SUV) and MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle)), whose use can prove to be better and more comfortable for family commuting. 1. Kia Cairns
Kia India recently introduced a new MPV Carens which will be available for sale in the first quarter of 2022. It shares its platform with the Seltos and also offers three equal engine options, a 1.5L NA petrol unit (115 PS/144 Nm), a 1.4L turbo-petrol unit (140 PS/242 Nm) and A 1.5L turbo-diesel unit (115 PS/250 Nm) is included. Transmission options include 6-speed manual transmission, 7-speed DCT and 6-speed automatic transmission.
2. Renault Triber Trubo
The Renault Triber was launched in India in 2019 and has been a huge success in our market since then. The MPV is currently powered by only a 1.0-litre aspirated petrol engine (72 PS/96 Nm) and the maker is planning to add a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine option soon. The Triber Turbo is likely to get the same output as the Chiger Turbo.
3. Maruti Ertiga Facelift
The Maruti Ertiga is set to undergo a midlife facelift next year and the updated model has been spotted several times on the Indian roads. The changes include only a new front grille while the rest of the MPV will remain unchanged. Under the hood, it will still get the 1.5L petrol engine (105 PS/138 Nm), which will be available with either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission.
4. Maruti XL6 Facelift
Maruti Suzuki is also planning to launch a facelifted variant of the XL6 in India and its fully covered trial model was recently spotted on the road. Changes made include a restyled front grille, redesigned bumpers and alloy wheels. The 1.5-litre petrol engine (105 PS/138 Nm) will remain unchanged and will continue to be offered with an option between a 5-speed manual transmission and a 4-speed automatic transmission.
5. Toyota Rumion
It is expected that Toyota will soon launch a rebadged version of the Maruti Ertiga under the name ‘Rumion’ in India. Toyota Rumion is already on sale in South Africa and it is likely to hit our market around March 2022. It will be similar to the Ertiga except for a few exterior changes and will be powered by the same 1.5L petrol engine.
