This is the third time in the calendar year that Tata Motors has increased the prices. The price updates were first seen in January 2022 and then in March 2022.
Citing increased raw material prices, many automakers in India have had to resort to price hikes from May 2022. Tata Motors (Tata Motors) has also announced a price hike in its lineup. Harrier, Safari, Tiago, Tigor, Altroz, Punch, Nexon (Tata Nexon) All have a price hike and the latest price hike does not come with price protection. The price of Tata Safari is now between Rs 15,24,900 to Rs 23,35,900. Its earlier price was between Rs 15,02,400 and Rs 23,22,900. Safari XE MT base trim has gone up by Rs 22,500 or 1.50 per cent to Rs 15,24,900. The price of the XM variant has been increased by Rs 13,000 to Rs 16,69,900, while the price of XT and XT+ variants has been increased by Rs 11,000 to Rs 18,19,900 and Rs 18,99,900.
New Latest Price of Tata Safari
The price of Tata Safari XZ+ Dark and XZ+ Gold has now been increased by Rs.10,400 and Rs.13,000 to Rs.21,24,900 and Rs.22,05,900 respectively. The Tata Safari AT trims have seen a price hike of 0.49 per cent to 0.78 per cent across all variants. The Tata Safari XZA+ KZR has seen the highest price hike of Rs 20,000 and is now priced at Rs 22,49,900.
Tata Safari is currently offered with a 2.0-litre Kyrotec diesel engine that generates 170 hp power and 350 Nm of torque. It will also be rolled out to a petrol engine. It will reportedly sport a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine that makes 150 hp power and is mated to a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission.
New Latest Price of Tata Altroz
Tata Altroz â€‹â€‹has also seen a hike in prices and now ranges from Rs 6,19,900 for the base XE MT petrol version to Rs 10,14,900 for the XZ+ dark diesel MT trim. The prices have been increased by 1.01 percent to 1.33 percent, making the Tata Altroz â€‹â€‹costlier by Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000. Built on the ALFA platform, Tata Altroz â€‹â€‹has garnered a 5 star rating in the Global NCAP. It is offered in both petrol and diesel engine options, with a 1.2-litre petrol engine making 86 hp power and 113 Nm of torque. The 1.5 liter diesel generates 90 hp power and 200 Nm torque. Both the engines are mated to a 5 speed gearbox and a 6 speed DTI unit.
The 5-seater premium hatchback will soon get an electric version. The Altroz â€‹â€‹EV will be India’s first premium electric hatchback. It will be similar in design to the ICE-powered Altroz â€‹â€‹but will sport a signature teal blue color scheme. Tata Motors is also working on the Nexon MAX EV set for launch later this month. It will sport a 40 kWh battery pack and is set to offer a range of 400 kms. Currently, the Nexon EV gets a 30 kWh battery which offers a claimed range of 312 kms.
