Tata Motors is now ready to launch the new Nexon Long Range EV in the Indian market on May 11.

While the current model is already ruling the EV segment, with the longer range model, the company is planning to increase its segment share further.

Currently, the Nexon EV comes with a 30.2kWh unit battery pack that gives a range of 312km (ARAI) on a single charge. The new model will get a bigger pack whose details have not been officially revealed. However, the longer range Nexon EV is likely to be updated with a full charge cycle range of around 380-400 km.

What will be special in the new Nexon Long Rage EV?

Apart from a bigger battery pack, the eSUV is also expected to come with new features. Tata may introduce an adjustable Re-Gen feature in the new car which will be a step up from the current model with mild and non-adjustable regenerative braking. According to the company, it will also update the EV with more features like Electronic Stability Program (ESP), cruise control and park mode on the current model. All this will make the Nexon EV a more feature-packed and reliable offering in terms of full charge range.

Expected Price of New Nexon Long Range EV

As far as the price is concerned, the new model will be kept higher than the current model. While the current car will go on sale in the range of Rs 14.51 lakh to Rs 17.15 lakh (ex-showroom), the upcoming Nexon EV long-range may come with a price tag of Rs 16.50 lakh or more.
