Vaiko, the head of the Tamil Nadu political party MDMK, has come out with a controversial statement. Where he condemned the Narendra Modi government’s withdrawal of the special state from Jammu and Kashmir, saying Kashmir would no longer be a part of India on the 100th Independence Day.

He said the day India will celebrate it’s 100th Independence Day. Kashmir will no longer be a part of India. Kashmir will be free on that day. The people of Kashmir will celebrate their liberation on that day. Along with this, he blamed the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Congress leaders for the situation in Kashmir.

“I attacked the Congress 30 percent on the Kashmir issue and 70 percent on the BJP,” said Vaiko. He said that the founder of the DMK, Annadurai, who is known as Anna, their party will organize a special event on his 110th birthday. Vaiko criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that on August 5, the BJP government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi lifted the clause from Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh and declared them a union-ruled state, separating them with the whole of the country.

Earlier in the Rajya Sabha, while studying the Article 370, Vaiko said that today is a day of sadness for the countrymen. He said today is a sad day because we did not keep our promise. When the Pakistani army entered the Kashmir border, Maharaja Hari Singh sent an envoy to the then Indian Prime Minister Jawahar. Only then the Kashmir Agreement was signed. Vaiko said the Kashmiri leader Sheikh Abdullah had decided to join India, but he had kept a condition. He said, “The people of Jammu and Kashmir will not have any compromise with their personality and originality.”
