Sikki Reddy has a Grade 2 tear in the abdomen (Abdominous Rects) which has been confirmed in MRI and has been advised by the doctor for four to six weeks of rest, BAI said in a statement.
India’s performance in Archery World Cup
Leaving behind the disappointment of a poor performance in the team events, Indian mixed doubles pair of Tarundeep Rai and Riddhi Fore defeated Spain 5-3 to reach the final of the Archery World Cup first leg on Friday. With this, India also ensured its second medal in this competition. The fifth-seeded Indian pair took a 2-0 lead initially but faced a tough challenge in the middle. The Indian pair finally won this match 5-3 (38-35, 36-39, 38-38, 36-35). Rai and Four will take on Britain’s 11th seeded pair in the recurve mixed team gold medal match on Sunday. Earlier, the Indian men’s and women’s recurve teams could not progress beyond the quarter-finals on Thursday.
Anshu Malik in final of Asian Wrestling Championship
Anshu Malik entered the 57kg category title at the Asian Wrestling Championships on Friday by winning all three of his bouts on the strength of technical superiority while Manisha will enter the ring for a bronze medal in the 62kg category. Anshu, 20-year-old defending champion from Haryana’s Nidani village, dominated every match to ensure her third medal at the Asian Championships. Anshu won the bronze medal in India in 2020 and won the 57kg title in Almaty last year. Novak Djokovic in semi-finals of Serbia Open

Earlier on Thursday, second seed Andre Rublev defeated Jiri Lacheka 4-6, 7-6 (1), 6-2 and Fabio Fognini beat Alaz Beden 6-2, 6-3 to reach the quarter-finals.
Barcelona extended the wait for Real Madrid
Barcelona’s 1-0 win over Real Sociedad extended Real Madrid’s wait to win the Spanish Football League La Liga title by at least a week. With this victory of Barcelona, there is a gap of 15 points between Real Madrid and them. If Barcelona beat Raio Vulcano on Sunday, the difference would be reduced to 12 points.
