The ED today filed the first charge sheet in the Associated Journal case with another major push for Congress in corruption cases. The chargesheet has been filed against former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and senior Congress leader Motilal Bhora in the case.

The case is for a plot located in Sector 6,Haryana, which the then Huda government allotted to the AJL, the Associated General. This allocation was made in 1992. It is alleged that the plot was allotted to the facility without auctioning it. It is also alleged that the plot was not used for the purpose stated by the agency. Nevertheless, he gifted the plot at a very low price.

The prosecution made the allegation in the PMLA court in ED Panchkula. The directors of this organization are many senior leaders of the Congress including Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. ED has already done a plot of ₹5 crore of AGL in Panchkula. In the case of the National Herald, income tax and ED activities are underway against Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi in Delhi. He has been accused of misappropriating the assets of ₹65 crore by organizing a company.
