In the first episode of ‘Shark Tank India’, 3 sharks, sitting on the judges’ chair, invested around Rs 1 crore. However, in today’s episode, only one pair managed to impress the sharks.
Liked the idea of making potato chips
In today’s episode of ‘Shark Tank India’ one of the ‘LIT’ (Institute of Business Training) business pitch ‘Tagged Foods’ by Anish Basu Roy and Sagar Bhalotia has got 70 lakh rupees on equity of just 2.75. Both of them presented the idea of snack brand ‘Never Fried, Never Baked’ popped potato chips to Sharks and Sharks liked it very much. In the year 2019, Anish Basu Roy and Sagar Bhalotia founded a Bangalore-based startup – TagZ Food Brands, which caters to people’s love for snacks without sacrificing nutrition.
With time people are changing their lifestyle and moving towards a more healthy life. The way potato chips are made has revolutionized over the centuries. Giving a one stop solution for regular snacking to choose between fatty fried and boring snacks in the market, Anish and Sagar created TagZ Foods as a healthier, but equally delicious alternative. With a state-of-the-art popping technique, they prepare tempting and filtered snacks.
Anish and Sagar succeed
With the sole objective of making TagZ Foods a global brand for delicious and healthy snacking, Anish and Sagar put forth their idea in the most spectacular way. Talking about his experience, Anish Basu Roy said, “Sagar and I worked on our dream project TagZ since 2019. When it comes to choosing snacks, GenZ consumers in India have little choice between fried fatty potato chips and boring health bars.â€
