The petition, filed through advocate Charanjit Singh Chanderpal, sought a direction to transfer all FIRs lodged across India to Mumbai’s Khar police station for his remarks on farmers’ protests. He had also demanded the filing of the charge sheet within a period of six months as well as the earliest hearing within a period of two years.

It also justifies the innocent killing of Sikhs. The comment is completely against the unity of our country and the actress deserves severe punishment in law. They cannot be dismissed or condoned.”

The petition filed said that the court was required to direct the Union Home Ministry and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and Telecom Regulatory Authority of India to ban Ranaut’s social media posts and take preventive measures.
