The Samsung T7 Shield PSSD is priced at Rs 12,999 for the 1TB storage variant and Rs 22,999 for the 2TB storage variant. The T7 Shield will be available for purchase through Samsung’s official online and retail stores and other consumer electronics stores and online platforms. It comes in three color options – Beige, Black and Blue. In the US, it costs $143.99 (approximately Rs. 11,040) for the 1TB version and $260.99 (approximately Rs. 20,000) for the 2TB version.

The Samsung T7 Shield PSSD has a read speed of 1,500MBps and a write speed of 1,000MBps. Samsung says the T7 Shield is twice as fast as the T5 and 9.5 times faster than an external hard disk drive. The T7 Shield sports a robust design and on the software side, features Samsung Portable SSD 1.06 and Samsung Magician software. This helps reduce heating even when transferring 2TB files in one go and allows users to manage the drives with ease.
The drive is cross platform compatible and can store large amounts of date on Windows PC, Mac, Android smartphone or game console. Samsung T7 Shield features AES 256-bit hardware encryption that protects user data in case the PSSD is lost. The T7 Shield is shock-resistant. Samsung’s PSSD is IP65-certified as dustproof and water resistant.
