Since the launch of Reliance Jio in late 2016, the company’s Annual General Meetings (AGMs) have consistently been a platform for major announcements regarding Jio’s services. During the recent 47th AGM of Reliance Industries, Mukesh Ambani unveiled exciting new offerings aimed at enhancing the user experience for Jio subscribers. The latest addition is the launch of Jio AI Cloud services.
Introduction of Jio AI Cloud Service
Mukesh Ambani announced that the Jio AI Cloud Service will officially launch this Diwali. As part of the Jio AI-Cloud Welcome Offer, users will receive a free storage allocation of 100 GB. This initiative is expected to cater to the growing demand for cloud storage solutions among consumers.
Features of Jio AI Cloud Service
The Jio AI Cloud is designed to provide users with a secure platform for storing photos, videos, documents, and various digital content. Users can expect a seamless experience when utilizing this service, due to its AI-based features that facilitate easy access and management of stored data.
Store Your Memories Safely
The primary goal of Jio AI Cloud is to ensure that personal data is not only stored securely but is also easily retrievable. The free 100 GB storage offer allows users to save a large amount of content without any initial financial investment, making it accessible to a broader audience.
AI in Jio Phone Calls
In addition to cloud services, Reliance Jio is set to enhance its phone call services with AI technology. Akash Ambani disclosed plans for incorporating AI into Jio Phone Calls, branded as Jio Phonecall AI. This innovative service will allow users to record calls directly in the Jio Cloud.
Benefits of Jio Phonecall AI
The AI technology integrated into phone calls will automatically transcribe conversations into text and summarize them for users. Furthermore, this feature can translate the text of calls into different languages, making communication easier across diverse linguistic backgrounds.
Democratizing AI Technologies
Mukesh Ambani described AI technology as a transformative force for the future, emphasizing Reliance’s commitment to democratizing access to it. The company aims to make AI technologies more affordable and accessible to everyone. To facilitate this, Reliance is establishing a national AI infrastructure, including a gigawatt-level AI-ready data center in Jamnagar that will operate entirely on green energy.
Launch of Jio Brain
To further promote the adoption of AI technologies among users, Reliance plans to develop tools and platforms associated with the Jio AI Lifecycle, collectively termed Jio Brain. This service will enhance various Jio offerings, allowing them to adapt to the needs and preferences of their users more effectively.
Innovations and Future Plans
Over the past year, Reliance has filed for 350 patents focusing on advancing 5G and 6G technologies. Additionally, the company has announced ambitious plans to significantly ramp up the number of Jio Fiber connections within just 100 days, reflecting its commitment to improving connectivity and digital services for its users.
