Ravi Shastri claims – there was a gang of people who were jealous of him in India, they wanted me to fail in coaching

Ravi Shastri was part of the coaching staff of the Indian men’s cricket team for nearly seven years. Earlier he was the team director and later became the head coach.
Ravi Shastri, former coach of the Indian cricket team (Ravi Shastri) told that there was a gang of people in India who wanted to see him fail. He gave this statement to a newspaper in England. Shastri said about the new Managing Director of England Cricket, Rob Key, that he too will get thick skin like Duke Ball during his work. In a conversation with The Guardian newspaper, Ravi Shastri said, ‘I did not have coaching degrees. Level 1? level 2? It all went to hell. And in a country like India, there is always jealousy or there was a gang of people who wanted to fail you. I had thick skin, thicker than the duke ball you guys see. quite strict. You need thick skin here. Rob will also act like he keeps working because you will be judged every day. And I am happy that he has the experience of captaining Kent because interaction with the players is the most important thing.
Shastri advises Rob Key
Based on the experience of working with the Indian team, Ravi Shastri believes that national teams work the same way everywhere in cricket. He said, ‘Rob may have to work more with home matches but when it comes to the national team, they are the same everywhere. The most important thing is that you have to create a mindset to win and compete. You have to be domineering to get it. According to me, when it comes to team culture, I believe that what has been going on has to change.
Stokes is a contender for captaincy: Shastri
Shastri feels that Rob Key will have to talk to former captain Joe Root to understand things. The former Indian coach feels that Ben Stokes will be the right choice to take the England team forward. He says that due to captaincy, a new kind of energy can come in Stokes and he can be a better player than now.
