Tata Sons (Tata Sons) Chairman Ratan Tata (Ratan Tata) recently launched Tata Nano (Tata Nano) drive but this was no ordinary Nano. This mini car comes with an electric powertrain. Car Custom-Made Electra EV (Electra EV), which has been setup by Ratan Tata himself. The company has shared this news through a LinkedIn post. In an image shared by the company Electra EV, we can see Ratan Tata in his new electric Tata Nano (New Electric Tata Nano) can be seen with . Legendary Ratan Tata also took a ride on the car. Electra EV said in its post, “We are extremely proud to deliver the Nano EV from Mr. Tata and get insight from his wonderful response.â€
The post also said, “For Team Electra EV this is the occasion when our founders ride the custom-made 72V Nano EV powered by the engineering power of the Electra EV’s powertrain!”
Can you also buy electric Tata Nano?
At present, the electric variant of this mini car is not available for individual buyers. The company that made the battery-powered car only drives the cars as a part. The cars are branded as NEO.
The company has announced that only a limited number of such Nano EVs or NEOs have been made. These updated cars are part of the fleet of Sainikpod Sit & Go, an all-electric mobility service based in Bengaluru powered by MotherPod. Motherpod is a shared mobility solution provider managed by Ex-Servicemen. They have recently started ‘Sainikpod Sit and Go’ mobility service in Bangalore.
The company offers EV powertrain solutions, systems and services to support OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers. Electra EV also works with global electric mobility providers to implement customized EV powertrain solutions for the Asian markets. Considering that the company mostly manufactures EV powertrains for business, individual users can hardly spot them in Tata showrooms.
