Raj Angad Bawa Debut IPL 2022

Raj told in an interview to Sports Star a few months ago, “When my grandfather passed away in 2008, I was very young. But yes, it would be an honor to take the legacy forward.”

Angad had scored 162 runs against Uganda in the recently played Under-19 World Cup and with this he broke Shikhar Dhawan’s record for the highest individual score in this tournament. Dhawan scored 155 against Scotland in the Under-19 World Cup in 2004. Angad had kept his base price of 20 lakhs but Punjab gave him two crores to join them.

A few years ago his family moved from Gurugram to Chandigarh and Angad joined DAV Public School. From here he started playing in the age group continuously. He told Sportstar in an interview, “When Chandigarh got recognition from BCCI a few years back, I moved from PCA to UTCA. I have been playing with the team since then.”

Angad rocked the Under-19 World Cup and after that he made his first-class debut. He made his first class debut against Hyderabad. He scored 44 and 35 runs in this match. Also took two wickets.
