Railway passengers got big relief, railways reduced platform ticket prices
In view of Diwali and Chhath Puja, the platform ticket rate was reduced from 30 to 50 rupees at many major stations. There was a tremendous protest against the increased ticket price, after which it was withdrawn by the Railways.
Giving a big relief to railway passengers, the railways has reduced the price of increased platform tickets at major stations. In fact, in view of the festivals, the railway department had increased the price of platform tickets by 3 to 5 times at some stations of the country. The right to fix platform ticket prices has been taken away from DRM.

Northern Railway had increased the prices
In order to control the crowd at railway stations during the festive season, the Lucknow division of Northern Railway had increased the price of platform tickets. People had to pay Rs 50 instead of Rs 30 for a platform ticket. These prices were increased at railway stations of 14 districts of Northern Railway. In which stations like Lucknow, Varanasi, Barabanki and Ayodhya Cantt were included.
Central Railway had also increased
Apart from Northern Railway, Central Railway had also increased the price of platform tickets at some railway stations. In which many stations of Maharashtra were included. These included Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Dadar and Thane railway stations. At the same time, platform tickets at Kalyan, Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and Panvel stations were also increased to Rs 50.
Order issued to control the crowd
In fact, a large number of people from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar live in other metros of the country including Mumbai, Delhi. Among them, the number of people associated with jobs and business is the highest. But, when the festive season comes, these people go back to their homes. This time too a large number of people have come to UP on Diwali. After Diwali, there was a lot of crowd at the stations in order to return. This order of the Railways was taken in view of controlling this crowd.
