Searches are being conducted in many cities including Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangalore from 9 am. Earlier on Tuesday, there was news that Nepal has also blacklisted many Chinese companies.
There has been a major action of the Income Tax Department against the mobile company Oppo Group and Xiaomi. Raids have been conducted by the Income Tax Department against many senior officers, directors, CFO and other officers associated with Oppo Group.
According to a report, the smartphone market in India is about 2.5 lakh crore rupees. In this, 70 percent stake is from the products of Chinese companies.
At the same time, the television market in India is about Rs 30,000 crore. In this, the share of smart TVs of Chinese companies is about 45 percent. The share of non-smart TVs is about 10 percent.
Raids on Chinese mobile companies
According to sources, these raids are taking place in Gurugram, Rewari of Delhi-NCR. Raids are being conducted by Delhi unit and Bangalore unit.
How many Chinese companies do business in India?
The Central Government had told the Parliament that at present 80 Chinese companies are actively doing business in the country. There are 92 Chinese companies registered in India, of which 80 are companies that are ‘actively’ doing business.
Strict action against Chinese companies also taken in Nepal and America
Participation in Nepal’s Airport Infrastructure Development Project has also been banned.
Three different China-backed companies – China CMC Engineering Company, Northwest Civil Aviation Airport Construction Group and China Harbor Engineering Company – have been blacklisted after they were found to be involved in various crimes.
Apart from this, the US has imposed sanctions on about 13 Chinese companies in November. These companies have been completely barred from doing American business. They have been blacklisted.
In a statement issued by the US, it was told that these companies were trying to obtain items of American origin to help the Chinese military in their military applications.
Let us tell you that Chinese companies have already been accused of helping China’s army. Some companies have also been accused of spying for the former Chinese military.
