If you are planning to go abroad during summer vacations then there are some credit cards which are giving good service at low forex fees. Banks charge a foreign exchange markup fee for making credit card payments abroad. This fee can be up to 3.5% of your transaction amount. However, there are some credit cards that charge low markup fees. Money can be saved by using these cards on foreign trips. Such cards are more beneficial for those people who often go on foreign trips. PaisaBazaar has listed five such cards that charge low forex markup fees.

HDFC Regalia Credit Card offers such.  This card gives 4 reward points on every retail purchase of Rs.150.  Rewards are also available on insurance, utility, education and rent payments.  The foreign currency markup fee of this card is fixed at 2%.  The card also comes with complimentary airport lounge access, with 12 free access in India and 6 abroad.  The annual fee for this card is Rs 2500.

The second card is SBI card.  In this, Elite Offers are offered, in which 5 reward points are available if you spend on Dining, Departmental Store and Grocery.  On the rest of the expenses, 2 points are given for every 100 rupees purchase.  This does not include the purchase of fuel.  Trident Privilege Membership and Club Vistara Membership are given with this card.  The foreign currency markup fee of this card is 1.99 percent.  Access to 6 complimentary airport lounges abroad and 2 complimentary lounges in the country is free.  The annual fee of the card is Rs 4,999.

The second card is SBI card. In this, Elite Offers are offered, in which 5 reward points are available if you spend on Dining, Departmental Store and Grocery. On the rest of the expenses, 2 points are given for every 100 rupees purchase. This does not include the purchase of fuel. The IndusInd Legend Credit Card earns 1 reward point for every Rs 100 spent on weekdays and 2 reward points for every Rs 100 spent on weekends.  Cardholders are given discount vouchers for complimentary stay and travel at Oberoi hotels in the country, Charles & Keith, Louis Philippe, Hush Puppies, Urban Ladder, Montblanc etc.  Its foreign currency markup fee is 1.8%.  Its one time joining fee is Rs 9,999.  There is no annual fee on this card.

The IndusInd Legend Credit Card earns 1 reward point for every Rs 100 spent on weekdays and 2 reward points for every Rs 100 spent on weekends. Cardholders are given discount vouchers for complimentary stay and travel at Oberoi hotels in the country, Charles & Keith, Louis Philippe, Hush Puppies, Urban Ladder, Montblanc etc. Its foreign currency markup fee is 1.8%.
