NEET UG PG Counseling 2021Medical Counseling Committee MCC has issued a notice related to counseling for undergraduate and post graduate students. An important notice has been issued under MCC for the long postponed NEET UG and PG counseling. In this notice, information related to the decision of the Supreme Court has been issued for the students. On its surface, students have been assured that soon the information related to NEET UG and PG NEET UG PG Counseling 2021 date will be released in the official website.

The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) will conduct the counseling process in All India Quota seats on 15 per cent sheets for NEET UG entrance exam and 50 per cent sheets for NEET PG entrance exam. The state-wise counseling process for state quota for the remaining seats for both UG and PG levels has already been started. The process of counseling for AIQ seats has been put on hold due to a petition in the Supreme Court challenging the reservation of medical seats for EWS and OBC quota.

Reservation rules after the Supreme Court’s decision in the notice issued by the Medical Counseling Committee MCC

1. SC – 15 percent
2 ST – 7.5 percent
3. Divyang – Horizontal reservation – 5 percent
4. OBC – Non Cream Layer (As per Central OBC List) – 27 percent
5. Economically Weaker Section (EWS) – 10 percent

MCC has issued important notice

In the interim order on 7 January 2022 by the Supreme Court regarding NEET UG and PG counseling, the process of counseling for admission to medical courses has been approved. Soon the counseling date for NEET UG and PG students will be uploaded on the website. Along with this, 27 percent reservation for students belonging to OBC category and 10 percent reservation for students belonging to Economically Weaker Category (EWS) category by Supreme Court has been intertwined with the validity of reservation.

This direction has been issued by the Supreme Court that the process of NEET UG, PG counseling for the year 2021-22 will be started on the basis of the earlier criteria. That is, those with an annual income of up to Rs 8 lakh will be considered eligible for EWS quota, the Supreme Court has also said that the counseling on the basis of NEET UG PG 2021 will take effect by making the reservation recorded in the notice issued on 29 July 2021. Because it includes 27 percent reservation for OBC category students and 10 percent reservation for EWS category.
