Recently, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, engaged in a roundtable conference with industrialists to discuss the province’s industrial potential. He emphasized the availability of all necessary facilities for establishing industries in Madhya Pradesh and extended a warm welcome to entrepreneurs willing to invest in the state. Empowering Youth through Startups
During discussions with startup representatives, CM Mohan highlighted his primary goal of illuminating the future of the youth in the state. He emphasized that startups could significantly enhance the state’s intellectual property and capacity. This conference also saw the presence of key ministers including Tulsi Silawat, the Water Resources Minister, Ram Niwas Rawat, the Forest Minister, and Rakesh Shukla, the Renewable Energy Minister.
Support for Startups
The Chief Minister explained that the Madhya Pradesh government is committed to providing ample support for startups. He announced plans to promote Ayurveda and mentioned that the state currently has five government Ayurveda institutions, with a commitment to increase this number to 13. By promoting medicinal plants from the forest-rich regions, job opportunities will be enhanced, thereby honoring the intellectual heritage of tribal communities.
Discourse on the Footwear Industry
In addition to startups, CM Yadav also discussed the leather and footwear industries with entrepreneurs. He stressed the need to promote synthetic leather and outlined plans to develop employment-generating leather industries in Gwalior and Morena. Furthermore, he provided insights about the establishment of several industrial parks, encouraging entrepreneurs to invest in these emerging sectors.
Promotion of Electronics Industry
The conference also addressed the promotion of ISDM (Electronics System Design and Manufacturing) industries. Dr. Yadav assured participants that all necessary resources for integrated circuits and semiconductor industries are readily available in Madhya Pradesh. Being close to Delhi, Gwalior is strategically positioned to foster growth in these industries.
Main Objectives of the Conference
The primary objectives of the conference included establishing Gwalior as an emerging startup hub, fostering collaboration, identifying challenges and opportunities, and generating interest in investments. Principal Secretary Sanjay Dubey and Raghavendra Kumar Singh were also present at the meeting. Dubey remarked that the promotion of PCB manufacturing industries would benefit other sectors as well, and the government is fully prepared to provide all necessary support to entrepreneurs.
