Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday shared a photo of Sardar Sarobar Dam. Narendra Modi has appealed to the people to visit this dam built in Gujarat. He hopes that the people visiting it will also visit the ‘Statue of Unity’. Prime Minister Modi said that he was happy to report that the water level of the Sardar Sarobar Dam has reached the historic 182 meters. He said in a tweet that he is sharing some of these wonderful photos in the hope that you will visit this famous site and also see the Statue of Unity. He also mentioned that the Statue of Unity was included in Time Magazine’s list of the 100 most famous landmarks.

In another tweet, Modi said that a few days ago, a record 34,000 people came here on the same day. I am glad to know that it is emerging as a popular tourist destination. In fact, when the water level in the river rises, the Sardar Lake Dam looks very nice from the Statue of Unity’s gallery. Its 15 gates are currently open. In such a situation, tourists who visit here enjoy the statue along the Sardar Dam.

Significantly, the 182-meter-tall statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the country’s first Home Minister, has been erected on the banks of the river Narmada. This is known as the Statue of Unity. It was unveiled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 31, 2018. About 3 billion was spent on construction of it. The statue has an elevator, which leads up to the gallery and can be seen from there.
