The Malaysian government has taken strong action against controversial Islamic cleric Zakir Naik. The Malaysian government has said that Zakir Naik will not be able to address religion anywhere else in the country. According to local media reports, Malaysian police conducted a ten-hour interrogation of Zakir Naik after he made controversial remarks against Malaysian Hindus. Then the government made this decision.
53-year-old Zakir Naik cleared Laden of a terrorist attack in the United States on 9/11 and called the attack a conspiracy by the US government. Zakir Naik left India and went to Malaysia soon after the Modi government came to power in India, and the government gave him permanent citizenship.
Malaysia police say a ban has been issued against Zakir Naik for the protection of the country. Zakir Naik was alleged to have made controversial remarks against Hindus and Chinese nationals in Malaysia during a religious campaign in Kota Baru, Malaysia, on August 5th. Ever since Zakir’s remarks, the Malaysian government has been against Malaysia’s Hindu and Chinese citizens. Even the Malaysian government minister accused Zakir Naik of being handed over to India by accusing him of spreading unrest in the country.
According to media reports, Zakir Naik said, “Malaysian Hindus have been given 5 times more rights than Muslims in India.”
