When the film’s trailer was released, National Commission for Women (NCW) chief Rekha Sharma wrote a letter to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. In the letter, the NCW chief called for a ban on ‘open circulation of sexually explicit material involving minors on social media platforms’, stating that the trailer of the Mahesh Manjrekar film shows sexually explicit material and does not include women and women. Shows minors in an objectionable manner.

The court had ordered an inquiry

Today it was reported that a serious case has been registered against director and actor Mahesh Manjrekar. A few days back, a special court was directed to examine a petition filed for allegedly shooting an objectionable scene of children in his recently released Marathi film.

Social worker Seema Deshpande had filed a complaint

For your information, let us tell you that social worker Seema Deshpande had demanded action against many people including Mahesh Manjrekar in this regard and also lodged a complaint in the court. It was said in the complaint that the trailer of the film, which was later released in theaters and on OTT, only showed pornographic content.

Following this complaint, Special Judge SN Sheikh directed the Mahim Police Station in Mumbai to investigate the matter under CrPC. Acting on this order, today a case has been registered against him under several sections.
