In the letter, the NCW chief called for a ban on ‘open circulation of sexually explicit material involving minors on social media platforms’, stating that the trailer of the Mahesh Manjrekar film shows sexually explicit material and does not include women and women. Social worker Seema Deshpande had filed a complaint
For your information, let us tell you that social worker Seema Deshpande had demanded action against many people including Mahesh Manjrekar in this regard and also lodged a complaint in the court. It was said in the complaint that the trailer of the film, which was later released in theaters and on OTT, only showed pornographic content.
Following this complaint, Special Judge SN Sheikh directed the Mahim Police Station in Mumbai to investigate the matter under CrPC. Acting on this order, today a case has been registered against him under several sections.
