That’s why car companies do not have much opportunities left. That’s why auto companies are eyeing the electric vehicle industry with zero emissions. These companies are understanding the scope of EV in the future, so new electric cars will join their fleet in the next few years.

Talking about the upcoming electric cars, electric versions of Mahindra KuV100 and Tata Nano could be introduced soon. Developing an electric car on the existing fuel based i.e. ICE platform is a fast way. However, developing an all-electric platform specifically for electric vehicles will improve the performance of the car. Some companies are working on both these methods, including pre-existing platforms and all-new EV platforms.

Tata’s strategy

Tata Motors is at the forefront of India’s electric vehicle segment. Currently, the company is offering electric versions of three fuel based models – Nexon, Tigor and Tiago. In this, the delivery of Tiago EV will start from next year. As per ET’s report, the company says that it is also working on Gen 2 and Gen 3 electric cars, which include the Curvv and the Avinya.

Suzuki’s plan

Japanese automobile company Suzuki is also planning to launch the first BEV in 2025. Currently, Suzuka, a car company focusing on hybrid technology, says that hybrid technology will help reduce carbon emissions before the BEV is launched in 2025. This will benefit the company in traveling till zero emission.
