There has been relief in the prices of LPG cylinders in the festive season. However, this relief has been given only in commercial cylinders. No change has been made in the domestic LPG cylinder. According to the information given by the oil companies, a 19 kg commercial gas cylinder has become cheaper by Rs 25.5 per cylinder from today. At the same time, the price has been reduced by Rs 36.5 in Kolkata, Rs 32.5 in Mumbai, and Rs 35.5 per cylinder in Chennai. LPG prices are reviewed on the first of every month. After the review, the cost of hotels, restaurants is expected to come down. The new rates have come into force with immediate effect.

After the change, a 19 kg cylinder of Indane will be available in Delhi for Rs 1859.5, which was earlier available for 1885. At the same time, the commercial cylinder in Kolkata has become Rs 1959, which was earlier available for Rs 1995.5. The price of commercial cylinder in Mumbai has come down from Rs 1844 per cylinder to Rs 1811.5. In Chennai, the price of LPG cylinder has come down from Rs 2045 to Rs 2009.5 per cylinder. Earlier in September, the prices were also cut, when the cylinder price was reduced by Rs 91.5. With the reduction made in October, there is a relief in the prices of commercial gas for the last 5 consecutive months.
