Land Rover India (Land Rover India) today launched the new generation luxury Range Rover SUV (Range Rover SUV 2022) in India. Launched in the global markets last year, the 2022 Range Rover is priced at ₹ 2.31 Crore (ex-showroom) in India. The carmaker has also announced that bookings for the SUV have started for Indian customers from today. The 2022 Range Rover SUV, which is now in its 5th generation, comes with a new look, new engine options and is loaded with many new features and new technology. The car is based on the manufacturer’s new flexible modular longitudinal architecture.
Land Rover will offer the new Range Rover SUV in three trims which include SE, HSE and Autobiography. The company will also introduce a first edition variant by next year, which will be based on the Autobiography model with unique specifications. Among the five exterior color options, the variant will be offered exclusively in Sunset Gold Satin finish.
Design of 2022 Range Rover
The 2022 Range Rover measures more than 5 meters in length, which goes up to 5.25 meters in the long wheelbase version, 2.20 meters in width, 1.87 meters in height, with a wheelbase of about 3 meters, which goes up to 3.19 meters in the long wheelbase version. The new Range Rover SUV will be available in both standard or long wheelbase versions with five seats.
Talking about the looks of the new luxury Range Rover SUV, the new Range Rover comes with a new grille and digital LED headlamp design with DRLs with a beam range of up to 500 meters. The SUV gets a new boat tail rear with a sloping roofline and split tailgate.
Specifications of 2022 Range Rover
Many other changes have been made in Range Rover. It gets a new 13.1-inch curved touchscreen infotainment screen that has been paired with Land Rover’s latest Piwi Pro system. It is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Apart from the infotainment screen, there is also a pair of 11.4-inch touchscreen units for the rear passengers. To keep the cabin free from pollution particles, it also gets a 1,600-watt Meridian Signature Sound System along with Cabin Air Purification Pro.
The fifth generation Range Rover SUV offers three options. It is powered by a 3.0-litre mild-hybrid petrol engine that produces 394 hp and 550 Nm of peak torque. There is also the same diesel unit that generates 341 hp and 700 Nm of peak torque. The third option is a bigger 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that makes 515 hp and 750 Nm of peak torque.
