Khelo India University Games: Weightlifter Ann Maria sets national record, Jain University strengthens its first position

Panjab University and Savitri Bai Phule University improved their place in the medal tally but could not reach close to Jain University. Both of them are in second and third place respectively.
Weightlifter Ann Maria (Ann Maria) on Wednesday Khelo India University Games (Khelo University Games) Won gold medal in 87+ kg weight category with a national record in clean and jerk. The Mangalore University player lifted 129 kg and broke the 128 kg weight category record set by Manpreet Kaur earlier this year. Manpreet had made this record in the National Championship. He lifted 101 kg in snatch and won the gold medal with a total of 230 kg. N Maria trains at the National Center of Excellence, Sports Authority of India (SAI). This university’s glory in badminton
Jain University won its first medal of the day in Badminton. She spread her shine in both men’s and women’s category. Won two medals in the mixed team events in shooting. Savitri Bai Phule Pune University won the gold medal in the 10m air rifle mixed event. He was given this success by the pair of Rasika Kulve and Gajanan Khandagle. The pair defeated Manipal University’s Manini Kaushik and Yash Vardhan. Gajanan also won bronze in 10m air rifle. In women’s basketball, Madras University won the gold medal by defeating SRM University 65-48.
