Rahul started his IPL career with Rising Pune Supergiant. This team came after Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals were banned for two years. Former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was also in this team. Rahul was also born in Dhoni's city Ranchi. In 2017 Rahul played his first IPL season and from here he started to impress.
