Indian music will be heard on flights as well as airports! Government will consider the demand of ICCR

Will Indian songs and music be played on flights and airports?
The Indian Council for Cultural Relations and Musicians (ICCR) has demanded from the government that it should be made mandatory to play Indian music on flights of Indian airlines companies as well as at airports.
ICCR says that this small step can go a long way in strengthening the emotional connect of our people along with the traditions of the country.
Demand made to Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia
The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) along with various musicians and singers made this demand from Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on Thursday.
In this regard, ICCR President Vinay Sahasrabuddhe and other members also handed over a letter to Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia in a meeting held at the ICCR campus in the national capital.
Union Minister will consider the demand of ICCR
“It should be made mandatory for all Indian airlines to play Indian classical or light vocal and instrumental music on flights and various airports operating in India,” the letter said.

Indian culture will get a boost
Regarding the proposal to play Indian music on Indian flights, singer and music director Kaushal Inamdar said that the whole idea is not only about promoting music but also promoting Indianness.
