India-Australia trade agreement will make movement of students, professionals and tourists easier; Will help in doing business: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi ,PM Narendra Modi, Australia (Australia) Economic cooperation and trade agreements completed with (Trade Agreement) Hoping that it will be helpful in making full use of the existing business potential, he said on Saturday that it will also facilitate the movement of students, professionals and tourists between the two countries. Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal (Piyush Goyal) And Australia’s Minister of Trade, Tourism and Investment Dan Tehan signed the India-Australia Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement in an online ceremony. Prime Minister Modi and Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison were also present on the occasion. Modi said that the signing of this bilateral agreement in such a short time shows the depth of mutual trust between the two countries.

Modi said that both the economies have huge potential to meet each other’s needs and with this agreement both the countries will be able to take full advantage of these opportunities.

Stability will come in Indo-Pacific: Modi

Prime Minister Modi said that this is a really important moment for mutual relations between India and Australia. He said that on the basis of this agreement, we will be able to contribute together in increasing the belligerence of supply chains as well as in bringing stability in the Indo-Pacific region. He said that this agreement will facilitate the exchange of students, professionals and tourists between the two countries.

Australian Prime Minister Morrison described this agreement as an important milestone in the growing relationship between India and Australia and said that this agreement will move forward because of this relationship. He said that along with increasing trade and economic cooperation, this agreement will expand the work, study and travel opportunities and deepen the warm relations between the people of the two countries.

Morrison said the agreement will create a myriad of business diversification opportunities for domestic manufacturers and service providers looking to move to India, valued at $14.8 billion per year. He said the deal would open doors to the world’s fastest growing major economy for Australia’s farmers, manufacturers, producers and many others.

Morrison said that by opening the way to India’s market of about 1.4 billion consumers, we are strengthening the economy and increasing employment in our country. He said that the basis of this agreement is our strong security partnership and our joint efforts in the Quad Alliance.
