After this defeat, he had to win the match against Sri Lanka on Tuesday in any condition, but team india failed and Sri Lanka defeated it by six wickets in a thrilling match. Batting first, India scored 173 runs on the basis of 72 runs from captain Rohit Sharma. Sri Lanka chased down the target one ball earlier. For him, Pathum Nisanka scored 52 runs, Kusal Mendis scored 57 runs. Captain Dasun Shanaka scored 33 not out and returned only after giving victory to the team.
