The first match of the three-match Test series is being played between India and South Africa in Centurion. So far three days’ play has taken place in this match, out of which one day was lost due to rain. There was a game on the first day but on the second day the rain did not allow the game to happen. The game was declared over without a single ball being bowled. However, the game took place on the third day and the bowlers of both the teams showed their mettle. Lungi Ngidi had gone from South Africa’s side and Mohammed Shami from India’s side. Today is the fourth day of the match and all eyes are once again on the season of Centurion.
On the fourth day, the eyes of the fans will be kept that the rain does not spoil the game once again. Everyone would pray that this does not happen and the rain does not spoil the fun of the match. However, fans need not be disappointed. According to Accuweather’s report, the temperature of Centurion during the day time will be 28 degree Celsius. However, this temperature will be 17 degree Celsius at night. The chances of rain were said to be negligible, which will be a matter of relief for both the teams as well as the fans. However, light to cloudy sky is expected. Although there is a possibility of rain on the fifth day, which will not be a good thing for the match.
India will take a strong lead!
After the end of three days’ play, India currently has a lead of 146 runs. The Indian team would like to increase this lead as much as possible and get a strong lead. India will start the day with their second innings score of 16 runs for the loss of one wicket. KL Rahul and Shardul Thakur will take the Indian innings forward. India had lost the wicket of Mayank Agarwal on the third day. Mayank was out after scoring four runs. While Rahul is unbeaten on five runs, Shardul is playing with four.
India had scored 327 runs in their first innings. For that, Rahul scored 123 runs. Mayank played an innings of 60 runs. India had scored 272 runs for the loss of three wickets on the third day and then here Ngidi wreaked havoc. He took six wickets. However, the South Africa team could not score big in front of India and were bundled out for 197 runs. Mohammed Shami took five wickets. Temba Bavuma scored 52 runs for South Africa. Apart from Shami, Jasprit Bumrah and Shardul Thakur took two wickets each. Mohammad Siraj got a breakthrough.
