Let us tell you that under the ‘Mhara Gaon Jagmag Gaon Yojana’, more than 75 percent villages of the state are being supplied 24 hours electricity.

For the first time, you will get so much money as an incentive

Consumers can pay electricity bills digitally through their debit cards, credit cards, internet banking, mobile banking, mobile wallet applications like Paytm, MobiKwik etc. For the first time, Rs 20 will be given as incentive on digital payment of electricity bills by rural consumers.

After this, for making digital payment of electricity bill up to Rs 2,000, an incentive amount of 0.5 percent (up to a maximum of Rs 10) of the bill amount will be given. Apart from this, an incentive of Rs 50 will be given on digital payment of 6 consecutive bills by the consumer.

Panchayats of villages paying more than 90 percent of electricity bills and digital payment of more than 90 percent of them, then such Gram Panchayats will be honored by the corporation by giving an amount of Rs 2 lakh, which can be spent on the development works of the village. could.

In each sub-division, 5 consumers will be selected for making digital payments on quarterly basis and an amount of Rs 2100 will be provided to each subscriber. Consumers will be selected by lottery system in the presence of Sub-Division Officer at Village School/Choupal/Panchayat Ghar or any other public place.

Prepaid smart meters will be installed across the country by 2025

Now all over the country, smart meters will be installed in every house. The government has fixed a time limit for this. A few months ago, the Ministry of Power had advised all the central ministries of the government to instruct the organizations under their administrative control to install prepaid smart meters. The Ministry of Power has said in its notification that by December 2023, smart meters will be installed in all block level government offices. Gradually, by March 2025, prepaid smart meters will be installed across the country.

Prepaid meter works in the same way as prepaid mobile, meaning as much electricity as money. However, prepaid meters are used in many parts of the country. Which needs to be recharged.
