Home minister Amit Saha said in the next two days the COVID-19 test will be doubled in Delhi and it will be increased by three times after six days.] on June 14 after the supreme court pulled up the Delhi government. The capital city has accounted for 38000 cases so far.
PM Narendra Modi expressed concern with 8000 beds and use of polling booths to test patients in containment zones. Testing for infection will be doubled within two days In Delhi.
Amit Saha said a house to house survey will be conducted in containment zones of Delhi. The survey reports will be available within a week. Delhi government has decided to utilise the services of scouts and guides, national cadet corps and other volunteers.
