Golden Girl’ PV Sindhu meets PM Modi! PM Modi wore a medal.
Indian badminton player PV Sindhu, who made history by winning the World Championship gold of 2019, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi on Tuesday. PM Sindhu along with his coaches Pulela Gopichand and Miss Kim were also present. Prime Minister Modi, who is returning from a foreign trip today, wished Sindh well for his medal and blesses him for a bright future.
Besides this, Prime Minister Modi said of PV Sindhu that Sindh is the pride of India, a champion who has returned home with a gold medal and countless honors. Modi said that he was very happy to meet PV Sindhu. Prime Minister Modi congratulated Sindhu and wished him well in advance for future endeavors.
Earlier, Sports Minister Kiran Rijiju met PV Sindhu and said that Sindh was proud of India by winning the gold medal at the BWFF World Championship. Rizizu tweeted after meeting Sindhu that, “For the first time ever, winning the gold medal at the World Badminton Championship honors India.” He also congratulated PV Sindhu.
Sindhu won the gold medal for the first time in the BWF Badminton World Championship-19 finals, beating Japan’s world number four Nozomi Okuhara for the first time in the championship.
