Gold Rate Today: Gold price rises, silver also becomes expensive, know where the price has reached

In the previous trade, the precious metal gold had closed at Rs 47,128 per 10 grams.

Silver also rose by Rs 290 to Rs 61,099 per kg. In the previous trade, silver was at Rs 60,809 per kg. In the international market, gold was trading flat at $ 1,807 an ounce and silver at $ 22.87 an ounce.

Tapan Patel, Senior Analyst (Commodities) at HDFC Securities said that gold prices were trading at $ 1,807 an ounce on Comex Trading on Thursday. The rise in gold prices was helped by a weak dollar ahead of the Christmas holiday and a fall in US bond yields.

Prices in futures trade

In futures trade, gold prices have risen by Rs 16 to Rs 48,215 per 10 grams on Thursday. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, contracts for February delivery traded higher by Rs 16, or 0.03 per cent, at Rs 48,215 per 10 grams in 8,797 lots. Whereas, globally, gold prices were up 0.31 per cent at 1,807.80 per ounce in New York.

On the other hand, silver prices on Thursday rose by Rs 152 to Rs 62,340 per kg in futures trade. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, contracts for silver for delivery in March were up by Rs 152 or 0.24 per cent to Rs 62,340 per kg. These prices are in the business turnover of 10,819 lots.

Prices in Mumbai and Kolkata

At the same time, the price of gold in Kolkata, the capital and metropolis of West Bengal, is Rs 48,950 per 10 grams. At the same time, silver can be bought in this city for Rs 62,200 per kg.

On the other hand, the price of gold in Mumbai metropolis, which is called the financial capital of the country, has been at Rs 48,151 per 10 grams. The price of silver has reached Rs 61,883 per kg in the capital of Maharashtra.
