Gold rate today: There was a tremendous boom in the stock market today. However, a steep fall of Rs 178 was recorded in the price of gold and silver.

On Monday, gold became cheaper by Rs 54 in the bullion market.

Gold latest price: There was a tremendous rise in the stock market on the first day of the week, but there was a fall in the price of gold and silver. Gold on Monday fell by Rs 54 to Rs 46,448 per 10 grams in the national capital’s bullion market with the fall in the international price of precious metals and the improvement in the value of the rupee. HDFC Securities gave this information. In the last trading session, gold had closed at Rs 46,502 per 10 grams.

Silver also closed down by Rs 178 at Rs 59,217 per kg. It had closed at Rs 59,395 per kg in the last trading session. The rupee had strengthened by 18 paise to 74.16 against the US dollar during the opening trade of the foreign exchange market. Later the rupee gained 31 paise to close at 74.03 (provisional) per dollar.

Bullish in bond yields put pressure on gold

In the international market, gold fell to $ 1,794 an ounce, while silver remained almost unchanged at $ 22.28 an ounce. HDFC Securities Senior Analyst (Commodities) Tapan Patel said, “On Monday, the spot price of gold was at $ 1,794 an ounce on the New York-based commodity exchange Comex. This led to a fall in gold prices here. Increase in US bond yields and strengthening of dollar kept pressure on gold prices.

Sensex jumps 651 points

Today the 30-share index Sensex closed at the level of 60395 with a jump of 651 points, while the Nifty closed at the level of 18003 with a gain of 190 points. Today, 20 stocks in the top-30 of the Sensex closed with a rise and 10 shares fell. Today the market closed at the highest level of two months. With today’s boom, the market cap of all BSE listed companies increased to Rs 274.67 lakh crore. In the previous trading session, this market cap was Rs 272.34 lakh crore. In this way, investors became rich by Rs 2.33 lakh crore in a day.

Rupee gains 31 paise

The rupee gained 31 paise to close at 74.03 (provisional) against the US currency. Meanwhile, the dollar index, which reflects the trend of the dollar against the six currencies, rose 0.19 per cent to 95.90. Global benchmark Brent crude futures rose 0.51 per cent to $82.17 per barrel.
