FIFA WC: Senegal did amazing, Netherlands also won, made place in knockout

The football teams of the Netherlands and Senegal on Tuesday FIFA World Cup-2022 Has made it to the round-16. Both these teams won their respective knockout round tickets. Netherlands beat hosts Qatar 2-0 to secure their place in the next round. On the other hand, Senegal entered the next round by defeating Ecuador 2-1 in a tough match.

Both these matches were played at the same time today. The Netherlands did not have much trouble in defeating Qatar in the match played at the Al Bayt Stadium, while Senegal, however, had to struggle against Ecuador in the match played at the Khalifa International Stadium in Doha. If the Ecuadorian team had made a draw in this match, they would have reached the next round, but all their efforts were thwarted by Senegal.

Senegal showed strong game

The match between Senegal and Ecuador was very close. The first half was on the verge of ending but the goal was not scored but Senegal took the lead in the 44th minute. He scored this goal on penalty. Angelo Preciado couldn’t handle the ball that bounced and Pep Saar took the ball into the box. Here Piero Hincapie fouled and Senegal got a penalty which was converted by Saar.

In the second how, Ecuador had equalised. Moises Saido scored this goal for Ecuador. This goal came in the 67th minute. Ecuador get a corner. Gonzala Plata takes the corner and heads the ball in front of the goal post. Felix Torres tried to put the ball into the net with a header but the ball went to Sideo standing behind, who put the ball into the net with a light touch of the foot and brought Ecuador on par. However, Ecuador’s happiness did not last long as Cauley Kulubali scored the second goal for Senegal three minutes later to put them ahead once again. From here again Ecuador could not match.

Netherlands dominated

The host Qatar team could not stand in front of a strong team like Netherlands. Qatar is the second host country to be eliminated from the FIFA World Cup in the first round. The Netherlands scored in the 26th minute of the first half. Davy Klaasen of Netherlands takes the ball and passes it to Cody Gakpo. This player put the ball in the net and put the Netherlands ahead 1-0.
