Following the order of the National Green Tribunal (NGT) in the case Sonya Ghosh vs State of Haryana, a drive was launched against the three farm houses with the help of the police. A police team was deployed there under the leadership of Station House Officer of Sadar Sohna. A senior official of the department said on the condition of anonymity that one of the three farm houses belongs to singer Daler Mehndi, which is built on about one and a half acres.

Have spent two years in jail for human trafficking

According to media reports, Daler Mehndi, who ruled the hearts of people with his Punjabi songs, has also been accused of human trafficking. In the year 2018, he has also been sentenced to two years in a human trafficking case about 19 years old. In fact, in the year 2003, a youth named Bakshi Singh accused Daler Mehndi of taking Rs 13 lakh from him in the name of sending him from India to Canada, but he was not sent. Also did not return the amount. In such a situation, Bakshi had filed a case in the police station. Daler Mehndi filed an appeal in the High Court against the sentence. It was accepted by the High Court. The special thing is that Daler Mehndi was lodged in the same Patiala jail, where cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu was kept.
