Country’s largest company Reliance gave a gift to its employees, this facility will be available for free

The company’s HR on Wednesday sent an email to its employees informing them about the Jio-bp pulse EV charging zone at the Reliance Corporate Park (RCP), Navi Mumbai campus.

Reliance can build similar infrastructure in other campuses as well. According to HR’s email, Jio-bp pulse facility will be available to Reliance employees to charge their electric vehicles for free.

The Jio-BP pulse zone at Reliance Corporate Park currently comprises six chargers of various configurations for electric two-wheelers and four-wheelers. The company said that employees will have to register through the ‘Jio-bp pulse Charge mobile app’ mobile app to charge their electric vehicles for free. To initiate the EV charging session, the QR code on the charging unit has to be scanned.

1576 EV charging stations will be set up on 16 highways

Let us tell you that the central government is taking big steps to promote electric vehicles. To overcome the problem of EV charging, the government has approved setting up of 1576 electric vehicle charging stations on 16 highways and 9 expressways of the country under the second phase of the FAME India scheme. At least one charging station will be installed at a distance of 25 km on either side of the highway. Apart from this, long range heavy duty charging stations will be installed on both sides of the highway at a distance of 100 km.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had announced a massive investment on EV charging station infrastructure development to promote electric vehicles in the Budget 2022. The government is paying special attention to the battery swapping policy. Battery swapping facility will be available at the EV charging station. Also, special mobility zones will be created for electric vehicles.
