CNG Price Hike: Traveling by auto and car became expensive in Pune, another jump in the price of CNG gas

Today petrol-diesel (Petrol Diesel rate) there was no jump, but CNG gas (CNG price today) has risen in price. The price of CNG gas has increased by Rs 2.20 in Pune, Maharashtra. Earlier the government reduced the rate of VAT on natural gas from 13 percent to 3 percent. The new rate of VAT was implemented from 1st April 2022. After deducting VAT, the price of CNG gas in Pune came down to Rs 62 per kg. The price hike was started within just a week and so far in April it has become more expensive by more than Rs 15.

For the first time in the month of April, the price was increased on 6th. On 6 April, there was a huge jump of Rs 7 in the price of CNG gas. After that, on April 13, the price was increased by Rs 5 per kg. On April 18, the price was increased by Rs.2. Now there has been a jump of Rs 2.20 in the price. The reason for the increase in the price was given that the rate is going up in the international market.

There is a boom in the international market

Regarding the rising price, Ali Daruwala said that the amount of gas being produced domestically is not in line with the demand. In such a situation, gas is imported on a large scale and the direct effect of the price in the international market is visible here. He said that India’s demand has tripled in the last one year.
