In a report by Reuters, it has also been told that how much amount in cashback users can get by paying through WhatsApp. It claims that WhatsApp will offer up to Rs 33 for transactions made using the payment option. Interestingly, this cashback will not be limited to the amount to be transacted. Cashback will be offered on three transactions. Even for a transaction of less than Re 1, WhatsApp will count it as a valid transaction.

To get the cashback, you will first need to transfer money to a WhatsApp contact who has registered for WhatsApp Payments in India. If your contact is registered for payment on WhatsApp, you will see a gift icon next to their name. If you don’t see any gift icon next to your contact’s name, you need to invite them to be added to WhatsApp Payments before you can transfer any amount to receive the cashback of Rs.11.

How to make WhatsApp payment on Android smartphone

  1. Open WhatsApp, then go to More Options, then go to Payments, and click on Send New Payment.
  2. Tap on the contact you want to send money to. If they’re registered for payment on WhatsApp, you’ll see a gift icon next to their name.
  3. Enter the amount, tap on Next, tap on Send Payment, enter your UPI PIN.

How to make WhatsApp payments on iPhone

  1. Open WhatsApp and tap on Settings, Go to Payments, Click on Send New Payment.
  2. Tap on the contact you want to send money to.
  3. Enter the amount, tap on Next, tap on Send Payment, enter your UPI PIN.
