The cabinet today approved the Taranga Hill-Ambaji-Abu Road Rail Project. According to the Union Minister, the estimated cost of this project is Rs 2798 crore. At the same time, this project will be completed by 2026-27. According to the Union Minister, there was a demand for connecting Abu Ambaji and Taranga with the railway network for a long time. Ambaji is a major pilgrimage site. At the same time, a large number of people also reach in Abu. Along with this, Taranga of Gujarat is also a very famous pilgrimage site. According to the decision of the cabinet, these three places will be connected with the railway network. This railway line will be 116 km long. A large number of people will also get employment from this project. This will also reduce the pressure on the Mehsana Palampur main line and the Dedicated Freight Corridor. According to Anurag Thakur, there was no rail connectivity on Taranga Hill Ambaji Abu Road, although it was connected to the rest of the state. With these projects, not only will these three sites be connected, but a new route connecting both the states will also be ready. This will reduce the traffic load on other routes.
