Another hit of inflation on Delhiites, increase in PNG prices

PNG prices in Delhi have crossed Rs 50 per SCM with a fresh increase. Recently, the price of gas supplied by GAIL to city gas companies has been increased by 18 percent.

PNG gets expensive in Delhi

With the increase of 18 percent in natural gas prices, the trend of increasing the prices of CNG and PNG in the country continues. This time, the kitchen of the people of Delhi has been hit. IGL has informed today that it has increased the prices of PNG. png For this, now people will have to pay more money by Rs 2.63 per unit. After the increase, PNG prices in Delhi have crossed Rs 50 per SCM. PNG prices have been increased for the second time in less than two weeks.

How much did the increase in PNG rates

Indraprastha Gas Ltd., supplying PNG and CNG to the National Capital and adjoining areas. Said that the price of PNG in Delhi will now be Rs 50.59 per cubic meter. Till now it was Rs 47.96 per unit. IGL tweeted on Friday that this hike will partially offset the increase in the cost of production of gas. Earlier on July 26, the price of PNG was increased by Rs 2.1 per unit. It is worth mentioning that the government has made it necessary to use expensive imported LNG to meet the increased demand. Due to this the price of gas has increased. Public sector company GAIL fixes rates on an average of locally produced and imported gas before supplying it to city gas distributors.

What happened in Delhi NCR

IGL has not increased the price of CNG. The price of CNG has been kept at Rs 75.61 per kg. IGL said that now the price of PNG in Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad has gone up to Rs 50.46 per cubic meter. Whereas in Gurugram it has become Rs 48.79 per unit.

And where have the prices gone up?

The prices of PNG have also increased in other cities of the country. Mahanagar Gas Ltd. in Mumbai. (MGL) has increased the price of CNG by Rs.6 per kg and that of PNG by Rs.4 per unit. The retail price of CNG is being increased to Rs 86 per kg and that of PNG to Rs 52.50 per kg.
