Ali will be seen sharing the screen with famous Hollywood actor Gerard Butler in his upcoming film ‘Kandahar’. Directed by Rick Roman Waugh, this action-thriller film is Ali Fazal’s fourth Hollywood film. He has previously shown his acting prowess in Furious 7, Kenneth Branagh’s upcoming film Death on the Nile.
Talking about the film, Ali Fazal told PTI, “I am always ready for new and exciting projects. We are going to start shooting soon.” However, the actor did not share any information about his character in the film. In the film, Gerard Butler will be seen as Tom Harris, a CIA operative operating in the Middle East whose cover is blown up after an intelligence leak and he, along with his translator, fights for the enemy. Stuck in the country.

To avoid this difficulty, Gerard, playing the role of Tom, is going to be seen in the film while trying to escape from the eyes of the enemy in Kandahar, Afghanistan. The film is produced by John Wick Series, Sicario, G-Bass and Capstone Group of Thunder Road Films. The film is based on Waugh’s screenplay by former military intelligence officer Mithel LaFortune. The plot of the film is based on the experiences of people involved in the Defense Intelligence Agency based in Afghanistan. The shooting of this film is expected to start soon in Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, Ali Fazal’s ‘Death on the Nile’ based on Agatha Christie’s famous detective story which has been postponed several times is now all set to release on February 11, 2022. It was earlier scheduled to release in October 2020, but was postponed due to the pandemic. The film also stars Hollywood icon Gal Gadot. Apart from Ali and Gal Gadol, the film also stars Annette Bening, Russell Brand, Don French, Rose Leslie, Emma McKay, Sophie Okonedo, Jennifer Saunders and Letitia Wright.
