Ajay Devgn is known for consistently releasing three to four films each year. However, his recent film titled ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ did not receive a significant response at the box office. In this film, he starred alongside actress Tabu. Currently, Ajay is busy shooting his upcoming film, ‘Son of Sardar 2’, in London. Earlier this year, it was reported that Ajay would collaborate for the first time with director Jagan Shakti, known for his film ‘Mission Mangal’. Ajay will also produce the film under his banner, Devgn Films.

According to reports, this will be a high-budget action film showcasing Ajay Devgn in a completely new avatar. As per Mid-Day’s reports, the film will follow a jungle adventure theme reminiscent of Harrison Ford’s ‘Indiana Jones’. Presently, the script is in development, and it is said that the filming will take place in India’s dense forests, with Ajay’s character on a quest for ancient artifacts. The storyline is expected to have historical significance, enriched with folklore and mythology.

Anticipated Production Timeline

The title of the film has not yet been revealed. However, reports suggest that filming could commence by December this year. The film is being made with younger audiences in mind, featuring high-octane sets and stunts. Ajay will sport a rugged look, wearing a leather jacket and carrying a backpack, making it enjoyable not just for adults but for children as well.

Initial Collaboration with Tiger Shroff

Previously, director Jagan Shakti was set to make this film with Tiger Shroff. The shooting had already begun, but the project was paused after approximately 30 days due to various reasons. Following this, Jagan decided to complete the film with Ajay Devgn instead. Sources claim that Ajay and Jagan had multiple meetings regarding the project a few months ago, and Ajay was quite taken by Jagan’s concept, leading to their decision to work together. This development has significantly increased fans’ excitement.

Jagan Shakti’s Directorial Journey

To talk about Jagan Shakti, he made his directorial debut in 2019 with the film ‘Mission Mangal’, which was based on a real story. The film featured stars like Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu, and Sonakshi Sinha and garnered excellent responses at the box office. Now, he is set to direct his second project with Ajay Devgn.

Featuring eight prominent stars, it promises to be a significant cinematic event. Additionally, Ajay’s upcoming film roster includes ‘De De Pyaar De 2’, ‘Son of Sardar 2’, and ‘Raid 2’. The film ‘Son of Sardar 2’ marks the first collaboration on-screen between Ajay and actress Mrunal Thakur.
