Legendary actress of Bollywood Tabassum Gohil is no more
Bollywood’s famous actress Tabassum Govil has passed away at the age of 78. If reports are to be believed then on Friday evening due to cardiac arrest Tabassum Has died. He was admitted to the hospital after cardiac arrest, but the doctor’s efforts could not show anything special. He gained popularity with his show ‘Phool Khile Hai Gulshan Gulshan’. Two days later i.e. on November 21, Tabassum Govil’s prayer meeting has been organized at Arya Samaj, Bandra Linking Road, Mumbai.
Died due to two cardiac arrests
Tabassum, started her career as a child artist and has worked in several shows including the popular Doordarshan talk show Phool Khile Hain Gulshan Gulshan. His son Hoshang Govil told PTI on Saturday that, “A few days ago, he was admitted to the hospital. He had a gastro problem and we went there for a checkup. He had two cardiac attacks at 8.40 pm and 8.42 pm. He passed away on Friday night.

Was famous by the name ‘Baby Tabassum’
As a child artist, Tabassum was known as Baby Tabassum and acted in films such as “Nargis”, “Mera Suhaag”, “Manjhdhar” and “Bari Behen” in the late 1940s. He hosted celebrity talk shows on Doordarshan from 1972 to 1993 and also worked as a radio presenter. Tabassum also participated as a guest in many reality shows to encourage the contestants.
Onscreen was the ‘real’ sister-in-law
Tabassum was the sister-in-law of actor Arun Govil, famous for playing the role of Ram in Ramayana. She married his brother.
